Avondale will be presenting our wines at the Camp Orchards Winter Country Day on the 19th of July. A boutique resort in Hillcrest, KwaZulu-Natal, Camp Orchards hosts this country market style morning, with a focus on health and wellness in a picturesque and historical setting. You can enjoy the range of organic and natural products available, the delicious picnic style food stalls, wine tasting and much more. Avondale will be joining more than 100 estates participating in the annual Parklane Cellars Wine Festival on the 24th of July at Hall 2 of Pietermaritzburg’s Royal Showgrounds. Hosted by the Parklane Superspar, this festival is known for setting the wine trends for the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. This evening of wine tasting is complemented by a selection of fine foods from a variety of suppliers to the Parklane Superspar. Avondale wines are on the menu at Cape Town’s Mount Nelson Hotel “Green Event” on the 29th of August. Executive Chef Rudi Liebenberg and Sommelier Pearl Oliver have selected to showcase Avondale’s wines to pair with the delicious gastronomic dishes. The event starts at 7pm with pre-dinner drinks, an introduction to the menu and an overview of the wines from Avondale’s proprietor, Johnathan Grieve. The cost is R485 per person, which includes a seven-course dinner with paired wines.
