Come together at Avondale with proprietor, Johnathan Grieve and FABER chef-patron Eric Bulpitt for the Winter Field to Feast on the 11th of June. The uniquely interactive event includes a fascinating farm tour courtesy of Avondale’s vintage-chic tractor-trailer that gives guests insights into the philosophy and practices that result in the extraordinary, authentic food and wine that emerges from Avondale’s cellar and FABER’S kitchen. Guests have a unique experience of FABER’S seasonal food journey and the processes involved from the farm to the kitchen and onto the feast platters. Places for the Winter Field to Feast are limited, and advance reservations are essential. Luncheons cost R550 per person, including the guided farm tour, three-course lunch, and three glasses of wine, spring water from the farm and restaurant gratuity.
