In partnership with renowned SA chef, Eric Bulpitt, FABER Restaurant opened at Avondale last month to a fantastic reception.  The name faber; m (genitive fabrī); second declension, denotes craftsman, creator, artisan, architect, maker, artificer or smith.  For us, it represents the coming together of two craftsman, Avondale’s Johnathan Grieve and Eric Bulpitt to epitomise the many, interconnected facets of craftsmen – from their love of the land and appreciation of the natural resources they use; to their respect for, and dedication to the creation process; and to the meticulous time they devote to crafting something extraordinary to bring joy to others.
