Avondale is not just a good place to grow healthy balanced grapes and make premium quality wines; it is also an environment that encourages the blossoming of human potential and supports development. Ivan September joined Avondale around 10 years ago as a general farm worker. With true determination and hard work he developed his skills and made the most of the training opportunities we provided for him. It is with great delight all round that he now takes up the position of Assistant Wine Maker. With a wry smile Ivan acknowledges that he does have a lot more responsibility, but his confidence and excitement at this challenge shines through. Ivan lives on the farm with his partner and his five year old son, Ethan, who attends the Avondale crèche. When not attending to his duties, Ivan enjoys social networking, music, socialising with family and friends, and watching sport. He has been on a wonderful journey so far, and we look forward to his contribution to our management team. Good luck, Ivan!
