An Avondale Biodynamic Luncheon gives you a unique opportunity to meet local farmers who are producing good food in sustainable ways. There are just a few places left at the table for our next Biodynamic Luncheon, which will be held at Avondale on the 26th of October.

We’ll be introducing you to Farmer Charlie Crowther from the Glen Oaks pig farm in the Hemel-En-Aarde valley.  Well-known for his love and respect of pigs, Farmer Charlie takes care of some 300 stress-free, pasture raised pigs.  He is meticulous about animal husbandry and welfare, and his roaming pigs are free of growth hormones, steroids, antibiotics and other drugs.  Come and hear his fascinating story.

Private Chef and creator of One Ingredient, Matt Manning will be working his innovative magic with Farmer Charlie’s outstanding pork produce.  Of course, there will also be plenty of opportunity to savour Avondale’s extraordinary wines approved by Mother Nature in beautiful, relaxed setting.
