There has been much in the news over the past months regarding labour strife in the Cape Winelands. Avondale is deeply grateful that we have a different kind of story to tell.
In December last year, when many farmers were locked in battle with their labour force, Avondale was stunned when our staff clubbed together to give proprietor, Johnathan Grieve, his wife, Suzanne and his parents a dinner out on the town as an end of year thank you gift! It was such an exceptional gesture of goodwill, and the Grieves celebrated the heart-warming spirit of Avondale at Noop Restaurant in Paarl.
